Prevention - Substance - Troy Housing Authority

East Central Mental Health-Mental Retardation, Inc’s prevention services are provided by Troy Housing Authority.Prevention education and activities are provided to children and youth who fit into one or more of the following categories and are living in public housing:

• Children of Alcoholics/Substance Abuse
• Children with Conduct Disorders
• Delinquent Youth
• Children with Mental Health Problems
• Children with Academic Problem
• Children without Fathers/Mothers
• Children in Protective Services
• Youth who Abuse Alcohol and/or other Substances

The overall goal of Prevention is to reduce abuse dependences on drugs, alcohol and tobacco, and to reduce sexually transmitted diseases and HIV/AIDS.
